1 month checkup

Hi everyone,

Thomas and Matthew had their one month checkup on Monday and both got an outstanding report. Thomas weighed in at 9 pounds 9 ounces and 21 inches long (he was 7 pounds 1 ounce and 20 inches at birth) and Matthew weighed in at 7 pounds 3.5 ounces and 19.25 inches long (he was 4 pounds 13 ounces and 18 inches at birth) so Matthew grew more overall than his younger brother. Matthew is still having difficulty sleeping laying down and the doctor believe that he has reflux so he now takes Zantac for infants. This is something that he should outgrow as he gets a bit bigger. We have also had to switch their formula again so we are in the last stages of that change over. The doctor believes that this will help as well as some of the proteins in this formula are partially broken down so the little guys have less work to do to digest the food.

They are as cute as a button. They are now giving us more eye contact and staring intently into our faces (causing us to constantly give them the "google eyes" and making it difficult to lay them down for play time and sleeping). The smiles that come across their faces are little gems each day.

I will attach some additional pictures of both Matthew and Thomas and as time permits will keep posting to the blog.

Sue and Ron: what gorgeous babies! Twins are such a precious gift. Mine are now 31 yrs old and so close. Lauren is married and has her own little baby, and his Uncle Matthew is his favorite babysitter. I am so thrilled that you have been so blessed.
