Hello everyone. Just a quick update to let everyone know that the boys and Sue are doing well. Sorry that we have not done more keeping everyone up on the latest and greatest - but time is certainly a precious commodity that we don't seem to be able to find an excess of (there's news to everyone).

In any event - we have our first month check up today (even though we will be 5 weeks tomorrow). We'll post more tonight/tomorrow with updates and some new pictures.

Thank you to everyone who has continued to support us (both in person and with your thoughts, prayers and well wishes).

2 Week Appointment Update

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to post a quick note to let everyone know that the boys had their 2 week appointment on Tuesday and they are both doing very well. Matthew weighed in at 5 pounds 7 ounces (up from 5 pounds 1.5 ounces) and Thomas weighed in at 7 pounds 10.5 ounces (up from 7 pounds 3 ounces). Thomas is only getting up about once in the night to eat and Matthew is a bit more than that (about every three hours). They are both smiling and grinning at us and are quite alert. We took them to get their birth announcement pictures yesterday so we hope to have those before the end of the month to send them out.

I will post more as I get the chance.

Love,
Reed and Sue

Matthew is home!

Great news! Matthew has done well enough now that he was able to come home yesterday morning. We are so happy to have him home, let alone now having not to spend time away from either of them as we traveled back and forth to the hospital 3-4 times a day.

Additionally, we are trilled that both Thomas and Matthew have surpassed their birth weight sooner than the required 14 days - which is a great sign of their health. Matthew is now 5 lbs!

We have been spending the past 24 hours getting used to Matthew's behavior (he is a night owl, we suppose from all the time in the ICU), but everyone is doing well.

We have been so much appreciative for the help that Sue's parents (Joan and Chanel) and Reed's mother (Sheri) have been offering while staying with us. In addition, our good friends Pete and Amy brought over an entire meal the other night which was so much appreciated.

Thank you again to all who have offered words of support and praise. We hope to respond directly when we have a spare minute (I am assured prior to their 18th birthday!).

Best to all and more shortly.
